Monotoë Privacy Policy

Last updated: 5 September 2026

Monotoë (“Monotoë”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) is the company that owns and operates the online store https://monotoe.com.

This Monotoë Privacy Policy describes how we collect and use personal information on our website. It is also the public policy URL submitted for Monotoë’s Pinterest API application. The Pinterest API is used only by the owner of Monotoë, on Monotoë’s own Pinterest Business account. Website visitors and customers are never asked to log in to Pinterest, connect a Pinterest account, or share Pinterest credentials.

1. Who we are

Controller: Monotoë
62 rue Youri Gagarine, 92700 Colombes, France
Email: contact@monotoe.com / info@monotoe.com
Phone: +33 6 40 90 30 19
Website: https://monotoe.com

Monotoë is established in France and processes personal data in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the French Data Protection Act.

2. How Monotoë uses the Pinterest API

The owner of Monotoë is the only person who uses the Pinterest API. Typical uses are limited to Monotoë’s own business account:

  • Publishing and updating the Monotoë product catalog on Pinterest
  • Creating and managing Monotoë Pins and boards
  • Reading catalog, pin, and advertising analytics for the Monotoë account
  • Running Monotoë ads on Pinterest

No customer of monotoe.com is asked to authorize Pinterest. We do not collect Pinterest passwords, session cookies, or third-party Pinterest user data through this API application.

API credentials and tokens for the Monotoë Business account are kept private and used only by Monotoë. They are not shared with unauthorized persons.

3. Information we collect on the website

3.1 Information you give us

  • Name, email address, postal address, and phone number
  • Order and delivery details
  • Messages you send to customer service
  • Newsletter preferences, if you opt in

3.2 Information collected automatically

  • IP address, browser, device, pages viewed, and referral source
  • Cookies needed for the cart, checkout, analytics, and advertising measurement

3.3 Payment information

Payments are processed by Shopify and its payment providers. Monotoë does not store full payment card numbers.

4. How we use website information

  • Process, fulfill, and support orders
  • Provide customer service
  • Send transactional emails and, with consent, marketing emails
  • Operate, secure, and improve monotoe.com
  • Meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations
  • Measure visits and Monotoë advertising, including via the Pinterest Tag when it is installed on our site

If the Pinterest Tag is active on monotoe.com, it may send visit or conversion events from our website to Pinterest so we can measure Monotoë ads. That is site measurement for our own advertising. It is not a request for you to connect a Pinterest account.

5. Legal bases (GDPR)

  • Contract: orders, delivery, returns, customer account
  • Consent: newsletters and non-essential cookies
  • Legitimate interests: store security, fraud prevention, improving the site, operating Monotoë’s own Pinterest catalog and ads
  • Legal obligation: invoices, tax records, consumer-law requests

6. Who we share information with

We share personal information only with service providers that help Monotoë operate:

  • Shopify Inc. — store hosting, checkout, and commerce infrastructure
  • Pinterest, Inc. / Pinterest Europe Ltd — Monotoë catalog, Pins, ads, and (if enabled) the Pinterest Tag on our website
  • Payment providers used by Shopify Checkout
  • Carriers and logistics partners for delivery
  • Email or support tools used to reply to you

We do not sell personal information.

7. International transfers

Shopify and Pinterest may process data in the United States and other countries. Where required, transfers rely on safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.

8. How long we keep information

  • Orders and invoices: for the statutory accounting and consumer-warranty periods
  • Customer-service messages: as long as needed to resolve the request, then a limited archive
  • Marketing contacts: until you unsubscribe or object
  • Monotoë Pinterest API tokens: only while the owner keeps the Monotoë Pinterest integration active

9. Cookies

monotoe.com uses cookies that are necessary for the cart and checkout, and may use analytics or advertising cookies (including the Pinterest Tag) to understand visits and measure Monotoë ads. You can refuse non-essential cookies in your browser or cookie banner, where available.

10. Your rights

If you are in the EEA, United Kingdom, or another region with similar laws, you may request access, a portable copy, correction, erasure, restriction, or objection, and you may withdraw consent.

Write to contact@monotoe.com with the subject “Privacy request — Monotoë”. You may also lodge a complaint with the CNIL (www.cnil.fr).

11. Children

The Monotoë store is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

12. Security

We use HTTPS, access controls, and our processors’ security measures (including Shopify) to protect personal information.
